To help inform Ergon Energy and Energex’s network investment planning for 2020 and beyond, we hosted five Community Leader Forum across the state in May and June this year.
These events provided community stakeholders the chance to learn more about their local electricity supply and to talk with our senior managers. And for us to better understand what really matters to the communities we serve, through a number of design thinking innovation activities, as we work together to shape Queensland’s energy future.
The forums saw people from different areas of the community, in the Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Rockhampton, Townsville and Cairns, come together in each location to challenge us to think outside the square. These conversations included elected and council representatives, industry representatives, small to major business customers, residential and vulnerable customer representatives, and our industry partners (electrical contractors/solar suppliers/energy consultants/developers).
This is a summary of what we heard – Our Community Leader Forums Report. This expands on the brief video stories below that highlight what our stakeholders had to say at each event.
